A Day at the Museum
I always, but always spill the foods that I put into my bag. I also forget putting them there.
For example, for quite a while now, every time I put my hand in my bag to get something, I find some nuts or jellies, which is always a nice surprise, by the way. But, there are things that go bad and smell, and obviously this is not something pleasant to discover in your bag. I think, I now understand why things smell when they rot; it's to let people like me (to?) know that it's time to check the bag!

I actually found a banana in my bag today. I still have no clue how it got there, but I ate it with pleasure nonetheless.
...
Today, I finally brought myself to visit the British Museum, after having spent almost four months in this city. Not that anything's wrong with the museum... I just don't particularly enjoy museums in general. But my school being five minutes walk from the museum and all... I was just afraid of people's reaction if I told them I hadn't visited it.
Anyway, I ended up spending more time in the gift shop than actually walking every floor and reading the tiny informations about each item that were on display. At least no-one can accuse me of not visiting the museum now.
Where was I? Yes, the gift shop. After buying some really cool stuff, vividly experiencing that bitter-sweet feeling of being ripped off, I started a stroll. I usually don't drink more than one cup of coffee a day, but this time I decided to have another one, even though I'd had one in the morning. I walked through Covent Garden and found my way to the Waterloo Bridge. I took the gazillionth picture of the London Eye slightly to my right on the other side of the Thames, the Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament on the far right and St. Paul's Cathedral on the left and far far away.

I then climbed down the stairs between the bridge and Somerset House and continued my stroll by the good old Thames, which is always a nice thing to do, no matter (how?) the weather is. At this point, I'd started to feel a bit hungry. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything in my bag this time. I was a bit disappointed, to be honest. But, what can you do?
I rested on one of the banks and enjoyed the view and counted the cyclers that were passing by just behind me. I got up and saw an old man walking slowly and wanted to have a little chat with him, so I came closer to him and asked:
"Excuse me, sir. I'm terribly sorry, but could you possibly have the time? If that's not a problem to you, of course."
He looked pleased and answered:
"Of course, my lad. It's 3 o'clock."
I thanked him kindly and decided it was time to go home, so I got on the tube at the nearest station, Temple. Now, if you're on the District Line, you have to change at Westminster for Jubilee Line. And if there's one thing I hate more than changing lines at Westminster, that is doing it at Green Park. Horrible thing. No, wait. There may be something worse. Trying to climb the stairs at Covent Garden Station... Yes, definitely! Rookie mistakes... Live and learn, my lad. Live and learn...
